There are consequences that go with “Rebel Like Hell!” That is against the LORD.
There are blessings that go with “Rebel Against Hell!” That is against satan and his demon forces.
Take, for example Hosea 14:1 “Samaria has become GUILTY, for she has REBELLED against her God. They shall fall by the sword, their infants shall be DASHED to PIECES, their pregnant women shall be RIPPED OPEN!”
That is BRUTAL. That was the way the New American Bible has it. Other translations are not as brutal.
Samaria was the capital of the Northern Kingdom; this is the punishment predicted for Ephraim.
Ripping pregnant women open was an extremely cruel and painful act of war.
The NAB has this cruel act written in chapter 14:1 whereas other translations have it under chapter 13:16: “Samaria is GUILTY, for she has REBELLED against her God. They shall fall by the sword, their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child RIPPED OPEN! (NKJV)
2 Kings 15:16 (NKJV) talks about this ripping of pregnant women. 2 Kings 8:12 speaks of the very same cruel act. Amos 1:13 says, “… I will not turn away its punishment. Because they ripped open the women with child in Gilead.”
The irony is this, God permitted the enemies of Israel to do such cruel acts, because of their rebellion, He in turn will punish the enemies for being so cruel! This act was done to both Israel and other pagan nations. (See example in Ezekiel 25:1-17. The word “Vengeance” is mentioned in v. 14 two times (NKJV) (see all my articles on “Vengeance”).
Do you think God has changed concerning rebellion today? No! He still punishes individuals/ nations. He currently is doing this. Don’t be surprised if you see/ hear of such cruel acts committed here in “Christian” (backslidden!!!) America/Amerika. Judgment is coming to America for Amerika has it coming!
