*In “The Oracle’s Daughter”, chapter two, Hill recounts the life of Maura, Lila, Iantha (Maura’s young daughter, nearly 3 years old), & myself at the Bear Tribe’s Sacramento, CA. City H.Q. & at Shoo Fly Ridge, on an old mining claim that Sun Bear had re-christened Medicine Rock,” (page 17. Please note: some of his books contain 331 pages, like the first one sent to us after April 7th; The one I am citing, the second one sent to us, has 319 pages. I hear that still others contain nearly 350+pages). On page 18, Hill writes: “Maura struck up a romance with a man named Grey Wolf, & when it came time for bed, he, Maura, & Iantha retreated to a domed structure made from bent saplings & a sheet of clear plastic. Together they would burrow into their sleeping bags & gaze up at the tangled lattice of tree branches…”
Deborah (Lila) tells us a bit more. In her article “A Timeline – Essay Covering 1970-2004, she writes: “Maura was an unwed mother with a young girl child born out of wedlock…” Deborah continues: “The night before I was to leave (for Medicine Rock), she showed up on my doorstep. She had two sleeping bags and her little girl. She said I could not leave and that she was coming with me… she agreed to stay in Sacramento with her child at the house (on “P” street) where the leader of the group was staying (Sun Bear himself). She did so & quickly became the LOVER (my emphasis) of the older man who was a Native American” (see the photos in this article of Sun Bear, Full Night (Lila), & me, Buffalo Sun). Deborah continues: “He was 54 years old & she was 22 years old. I was actually shocked at the transition which apparently took place in her during my absence. Many people who traveled back and forth would come telling me terrible things about her behavior, which I did not want to believe. I heard that her child had been USED with her permission as a group sex object & had contracted gonorrhea. The child was a little over two years old at the time. She (Iantha) was taken for medical attention at which time the diagnosis was given…”
My Point?
My point in all this is to show our readers that Maura was very familiar with adultery! Sun Bear had a wife! Grey Wolf had a wife! Deborah continues: “By the time I saw Maura again, she was living in an ADULTEROUS AFFAIR with another man in the group who had a wife & two young sons… Maura made herself available to the man & fast became his LOVER & dope-smoking partner. they would spend hours in dope, sex, & talk…”
This is true. I was there. Lila and I had not come there together. I hung around with a group of men (many former Vietnam vets, mostly Natives). It wasn’t until the camp was closing that Lila (Deborah) & I joined together to scout for another Bear Tribe location. Hill FALSELY writes: “Further investigation revealed that Jim had been organizing his own splinter faction, perhaps even planning a coup to take over the group… upon Sun Bear’s return to Medicine Rock, he escorted Jim off the property.” What? Really?
Hill was not there: I was. Maybe Maura told Hill this happened – she was/is a serial liar! What I did was gather up those who had nowhere to go (nearly a dozen) & take them to my Santa Cruz camp on top of a small mountain where I had a large tepee. Lila came with us. We all lived there until the time we all went our ways: Lila & I went to Montana SEEKING for a new Bear Tribe camp. Before our conversion in Dec. 1971, a half-dozen Bear Tribe members came to our cabin outside Seely Lake & lived with us. The Bear Tribe did not fall as Hill wants us to believe. Even today it survives.
So
Maura was & is familiar with what adultery is. She to this day denies her adultery! Yep! Says we “put her out” because of “spiritual adultery”. But she has repeatedly said she “ESCAPED the Cult!”
We know of two men who confessed to having an affair with her – one married, one not married. Could have been more (I’m sure). On page 9 of our PX2 Files Trilogy (magazines) I have posted a photo of Maura, Iantha, Steve (now Phillip, Maura’s ex), Deborah, & myself with one of the men (face in circle) who told us about his & Maura’s affairs. He said this started before she joined ACMTC & was going on after Maura had become a “Christian”.

Deborah. We have never hidden our past life. We both were SINNERS! We both were part of the 60’s revolution. We both were sexually immoral, me more than Deborah. She had several stable relationships. I had none until I met Deborah. We’ve been together ever since 1971! We have never cheated on each other. Thank you God! As Hill points out in his book, at least he got a few things correct: “I fornicated with women…”; Jim Green’s sermon, “Great Trumpet Lips” (see pg. 291, chapter 4, notes). I did what unsaved hippies did!! At least Hill read or listened to some of our articles/recordings. But he protects Maura et al.
To make a book sell & interesting, one has to have a saint & a devil. His saints are – read & find out. His devils are – read and find out. Since both Sarah & Maura fed Hill a crock of BS, why would anyone believe Hill is honest? Of course, Hill was never among us. He writes as though he were right there, recording, filming. A good example is this:
“At the campfire one night, Lila appeared from behind Maura, eyes FLASHING (my emphasis). In a voice twisted with resentment, she complained about her own lack of power & influence in the group. Maura listened uneasily as the flames cast a flickery glow on the surrounding forest,” chapter two, page 20, “Oracle’s Daughter”. Several things WRONG here. First, Hill was not present to see “Lila’s “eyes flashing”. Nor did he hear Lila’s complaint.
The truth was that Maura had zero influence at Medicine Rock. Zero! She was not pretty. Lila was. She was not smart. Lila was. Lila was respected by all the people. The men called Maura “Ugly White Skag”. She was unkempt most of the time. Secondly, there was no forest on the land at Medicine Rock. Some trees, but not a forest. Hill makes up things. Is this honest? I could point out hundreds of times where Hill gets it wrong, lies, speculates, gives mis/disinformation, falsifies, misleads, uses dishonesty, in error, deceives, mistaken ideas, inaccurate recounting, etc.
Here is another quote – please don’t laugh until you read the whole quote: “Then Jim Green arrived. He was 25 years old … former Army Reservist… He… moved around the Camp (Medicine Rock) with wild-eyed hostility, a barely subdued hint of violence. Jim was White (Was? Wait? Am I now a different color?), & in full command of the English language, but he often spoke in a kind of monosyllabic TV Indian pidgin: “Me hunt”, “You go”. Now you can laugh! “Me hunt”, “You go”. Really Harrison??? Did you hear me speaking this way?
Well, folks, I hope you don’t take in all Hill writes about. His MAIN object/goal is to DEMONIZE Deborah & myself – get people to believe we are crazies & Maura, Sarah, et al. are saints. He hopes that his book will be the nail in our coffin. Well, many others have tried their hand at “taking the Generals Out!” but, as you see, we are still here & we’re not QUEER! Amen!
Hill writes: “Jim Green… was 25 years old, a handsome, wooly-bearded former Army Reservist…”, page 21 in Oracle’s Daughter, chapter two. On June 29th 1971 I turned 26. Deborah was 24 in 1971.
Also, on page 21, Hill gets the sequence wrong. Hill writes: “Jim subsequently became ill, likely with hepatitis – Lila stayed with him through the sickness & nursed him back to health…” This happened at the Santa Cruz camp, after we left Medicine Rock. I was the last one to get “hep”. We were left all alone in my tepee. When I fully recovered, we left CA. for MT… to find land for the Bear Tribe.
The part about “those delirious, sweaty days… Lila later said that ‘God told her to go to [Jim’s] tent,’ strip naked, & present herself to him,” pg. 21. Again, this is incorrect. She visited me (clothed!) at Medicine Rock a very short time before we left for Santa Cruz.
Why make such a fuss, Jim, over small things?” Well, small details can change the narrative, change the tune, change from being a non-fiction to being fiction. This is done throughout Oracle’s Daughter. Hill tries to write as an expert with authority. He only takes what proven liars tell him or from what he digs out of our ACMTC materials – which are true facts. We do give him credit for using our material honestly, but even he adds & takes away too often. Why doesn’t Hill cite our PX2 Files where Maura is caught time & time again LYING under oath? Why hasn’t anyone asked Sarah’s two ABANDONED sons, Josiah & Isaiah, what came down from 1993-2017? They were with us thru all SH*T that posed as TRUTH!
On page 316 – notes – we read: “It was a scam: Author interviews with Sarah Green, Maura Schmierer, Ellexis (Sarah’s daughter), Jeremiyah Green (her son), Note Schmierer, & Julie Gudino.” May I inquire what Sarah’s 2 children knew about ACMTC, having never lived with us? And, for that matter, what did Nate (Maura Schmierer’s son) know? He left early from Fence Lake, as did Julie Gudino, who also is a proven liar & thief. And the same goes for Detective Steve Chavez, who later was accused of sexual harassment as a police officer in Grants, N.M. I could spend days refuting all their claims. All one has to do is read “General Deborah Found Not Guilty & Released” at AggressiveChristianity.net, front page. All the LIES & DECEIT used by the N.M. authorities is astounding – all to put Deborah away for life! In court, Sarah, Julie & others testified against Deborah – all lies! Deborah was released from a 72-year sentence.
[Note: Harrison Hill was not even born in 1971. According to his account of the Bear Tribe, he writes like he was personally there filming/writing! Can we really believe what he writes? Some things, yes, most, No!!!
