All you’ve gotta do is SAY IT ENOUGH TIMES!
In Part 6, we proved that Maura’s story contradicts itself so much, we’re left with lots of questions like, “Why does anyone still believe anything she claims? Why is she not in prison for perjury?” Solid questions! But I’m wondering why anyone believed her in the first place!
I know what convinced people. It was the one-sided, ridiculously “scary” and REPEATED reports. ALL YOU’VE GOTTA DO IS SAY IT ENOUGH TIMES! Maura’s story was jumbled and incredulous, but it was repeated, and repeated, and repeated … and repeated. Hence we ended up with a classic “Illusory Truth Effect.” Yes, this is a real thing. Psychology Today defines it this way:
“The illusory truth effect is the tendency for any statement that is repeated frequently—whether it is factually true or not, whether it is even plausible or not—to acquire the ring of truth. Studies show that repetition increases the perception of validity—even when people start out knowing that the information is false, or when the source of the information is known to be suspect.”1
SHE’S WITHOUT PROOF; HER ACTIONS POINT BACK TO HER
Maura started the bandwagon against the Generals in the 1980’s, without proof of wrongdoing. Maura won a lawsuit by default, not evidence. Maura never proved the so-called cruelty of the Generals, but it is a public fact that she harassed them for literally decades. She blamed them for being “oppressive,” while oppressing them. Her own actions reveal who the real cruel oppressor is!
As we already discussed, Maura eventually changed the very foundation of her original story. On the 2006 Dr. Phil Show, Maura confessed that she was never physically imprisoned. Therefore, Maura inadvertently confessed to lying.
HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?
Let’s say someone like Maura lied about your family for 20 or 30 years. How would you feel about that? How would you feel if suddenly, on National TV, she indirectly admitted to lying – but even though she “confessed,” most people will still believe her disaffirming story and continue to HATE YOUR FAMILY. No one believes you, because your character was assassinated, but this liar can contradict herself on TV and remains the “victim.”
You don’t like that scenario? Well, then, don’t jump on the bandwagon and believe someone like Maura when she’s doing it to someone else.
CAPTIVITY?
She finally admitted there was NO physical captivity. Oh . . . I forgot . . . she was a captive to fear! So that means the captivity was “in her head.” Yup, that makes sense! It was ALL CONJURED UP IN HER IMAGINATION!
The basis of Maura’s accusations were rooted in her physical imprisonment story. Maura destroyed that story. DO YOU SEE THE CONFUSION? Maura went from disturbing the public, to showing evidence that all along, she’s the one who is disturbed.
NO FOUNDATION, NO BUILDING
Build the foundation of any structure on faulty ground and sooner or later, you’ll have no building. Jesus spoke this same truth to us when He said,2
“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
Maura beat against her own foundation and collapsed it! It wasn’t built on the Rock. It wasn’t built on TRUTH.
– Doesn’t that mean she committed PERJURYin her original lawsuit?
– Doesn’t that mean her publicized accusations could be readdressed and classified as LIBEL?
– Doesn’t that mean Harrison has obvious FICTIONAL content in his debut “non-fiction” book? Non-fiction based on FICTION? YIKES!

WHEN I FIRST HEARD HER STORY
I confess, I didn’t know Maura personally; that gave me an objective approach to her story, just like most of you. I hadn’t been seduced by her or lured into sin, like some young men confessed to the Generals in Sacramento days. I had no reason to be bitter at her or mistrust her.
That said, when I read her original accusations against the Generals and ACMTC, I immediately didn’t believe her. I could tell she was lying. To me, her story was just unbelievable – not “amazing” unbelievable like “Wow! What a crazy experience you went through!” but NOT-believable like “Yeah, NO, that sounds stupid. I don’t believe it.”
When I fully committed myself to Jesus and officially joined up with ACMTC, I spent time with everyone and actually heard the other side of the story. I spoke and worked with the Generals themselves, saw how they lived, saw how they interacted with everyone else, including the young people.
I saw their Christian lives. I watched their Christian deeds. I heard their Christian conversations. I saw their sacrifices, their love for the lost, their selfless way of living. Nothing lined up with the accusations. Nothing.
I honestly never doubted that Maura is lying. In my opinion, it’s possible that someone else put her up to it.
SERIOUS BLASPHEMIES IN HER STORY, AND HARRISON’S
Harrison quoted Maura in his article published in The Cut: “‘I was always in trouble because my demons wouldn’t come out,’ she told me. Other members screamed, vomited, and writhed on the floor when Deborah exorcised them, but Maura could never summon such a vigorous response.”3
BLASPHEMY!
– “I was always in trouble…” According to Maura’s own handwritten letters, she was the troublemaker. Maura’s snide comment here about deliverance just shows how hateful and disrespectful she is towards historical Christian beliefs.
I have a question for Harrison: Are you really setting yourself up to mock the ways of Christ, who said deliverance from demons was His “children’s bread”?4
– “…my demons wouldn’t come out.” That’s NOT God’s fault! Demons don’t come out when we don’t want them to, or we don’t believe. Don’t forget the Word of God: “Now He [Jesus] did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”5
– “…members screamed, vomited, and writhed on the floor…” Are you now mocking what happens when demons come out of a suffering person? You mock what you know nothing about.
Yes, at times demons scream, people vomit, and sometimes writhe on the floor. Demons cause men, women and even children to do worse things when they are not being cast out, so why are you surprised that they’d throw a fit when they are being cast out? Matthew 17:15-18 – “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he has seizures and he suffers terribly. For often he falls into the fire, and often into the water. …And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the boy was healed instantly.”6
Demons caused a woman to be disabled, bent over FOR 18 YEARS (Luke 13:11)!!! Demons caused men to act VIOLENT and CRAZY (Matthew 8:28-34). Demons made a poor man BLIND and MUTE (Matthew 12:22). Demons made countless people OPPRESSED and SICK (Matthew 8:16).
Yet Jesus HEALED THEM ALL, because men and women LOOKED TO HIM, they DID NOT MOCK, and they BELIEVED!!!!
– “…when Deborah exorcised them.” Show me one time when Deborah claims to be the sole power for casting out demons! Deliverance is done in the Mighty Name of JESUS! Furthermore, this is such an ignorant statement, because both Generals and other elders often pray together to cast out demons. Every adult member of ACMTC has prayed deliverance over various people, in the community and in the “highways and byways,” for desperate men and women, young and old, over many years – just like the disciples in the Book of Acts.
Deliverance is integral to New Testament Christianity. Jesus actually guaranteed deliverance will always follow true believers: “And these signs WILL follow those who believe: In My name they WILL cast out demons…” (Mark 16:17).7
Out of Concern, An Admonishment for Harrison:
Harrison, it appears you are mocking deliverance. So you’re mocking what Jesus instituted for Christians? And if you say, “Real deliverance is not like that,” then are you prepared to explain what “real deliverance” looks like? Or do you just like making fun of what the Christian Scriptures teach?
My suggestion: Don’t speak evil of something you don’t understand, especially if Jesus told us in the Bible to do it. Also, the Biblical examples of demonic oppression are not pretty, as I showed above, so don’t think the modern examples of it will be pretty, either.
– “…Maura could never summon such a vigorous response.” There’s nothing to summon; just Christ to yield to. If Maura can’t yield to Christ in deliverance, He can’t set her free.
She definitely had struggles yielding to Christ in the most general sense, as her own handwritten letters suggest,8 and that’s sad. Yet that’s her own choice. No one can make her submit to God. But she should realize that not yielding her life to Christ means she will NEVER make it to Heaven.
REPENT, AND BELIEVE!
We repent, turn from our sins and turn to Jesus, and God forgives us! He DOES. It’s a beautiful FACT! He is Loving and FULL of tender mercies!!! But if we won’t repent, we cannot claim that Bible promise of forgiveness.
Mark 1:15 in the Amplified Version of the Bible is really wordy, but clearly explains what it means to repent: Jesus said, “The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand; REPENT [change your inner self – your old way of thinking, regret past sins, live your life in a way that proves repentance; seek God’s purpose for your life] and believe [with a deep, abiding trust] in the good news [regarding salvation].”9Lots to meditate on in there. Lots to DO.
Made-up Maura Stories Are So Reliable
After Hill’s blasphemous anti-Christian mockery, we find four paragraphs of Maura stories, which I assume were dictated directly to Harrison by Maura herself. (A great storyteller, I’m sure, not that she’s bitter or anything!) I’m wondering, was she the only person there in those days in California? Well, you have Sarah, young at that time (maybe not seeing imaginary rock walls yet); perhaps Sarah put her two cents in, now that she’s older and remembers things so well…
Don’t forget to include the corroboration of a few more crazies out there who HATE the Generals! Motives don’t matter! They’d make reliable, unbiased eyewitnesses, just like all disgruntled ex-members of any group! I mean, it’s not like they have a bone to pick or anything. It’s not like they got offended at the preaching of the truth. No, that really never happens with the truth. Jesus died for speaking the truth, but, you know, we’re just His followers. Servants don’t suffer the same as their Master, right?
JOHN 15:20 – “Remember [and continue to remember] that I told you, ‘A servant is not greater than his Master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My Word, they will keep yours also.”10
The Disgruntled Are Qualified, But Those with NO Bitterness Aren’t?
No one can argue with this: Disgruntled ex-members of any group (or business) are notoriously self-proclaimed “victims” with ulterior motives and thereby cannot be readily trusted; they’re often liars, seeking revenge or self-gain at the expense of those who “offended” them.
What about eyewitnesses that aren’t seeking revenge? How about eyewitnesses who have NO bone to pick?
All those who remained with ACMTC since the 80’s, they saw it all. They observed, and remember. They’ve testified over the years and validated the Generals while exposing the type of person Maura always was. Why won’t people hear what these men and women have disclosed, the proofs and common sense they’ve shown? Why are they dismissed, as if they weren’t there?
The world has given Maura the right to speak, provide no proof, contradict herself, change her stories, and yet speak some more. Dear reader, won’t you listen to other women and men who were there? Won’t you hear them out?
Please, after reading the Px3 Files, take some time to read the Px2 Files, found HERE. Maura has repeated and pleaded her story long enough. It’s time the world listens to someone else, and really examines facts with a little common sense.
