Misrepresenting Us All, Especially the Leadership
Details do matter. Some minor details can change a whole story around, literally in the opposite direction.
Hill’s second paragraph begins by calling us a “paramilitary religious cult.”1 Why? Clearly, because other people have labeled us the same way. But what is it based on?
1. “Paramilitary” is misleading and intends to scare. We have no political or military agenda. We don’t train for some physical, carnal or worldly takeover. We are the “Army that Sheds No Blood!” and always have been. We’ve said it a million times, even in print. Go to our website to see what we’ve always openly declared and believe:
aggressivechristianity.net/whoare.htm
We’re just Christians who love Jesus. We are “AGGRESSIVE” because we hate sin (Hebrews 1:9), the carnal mind (Romans 8:5-8) and the devil (1 Peter 5:8). Is it not good and Christian to AGGRESSIVELY hate evil in all its forms?
We are also “AGGRESSIVE” because Jude 3 says, “EARNESTLY CONTEND for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Is it wrong to contend for what you believe, especially if it’s the truth that helps people, saves people, and brings people to their Only Savior and Lord?
ALL Christians are SPIRITUAL soldiers in God’s Kingdom, according to the Bible. We are commissioned by God to battle real SPIRITUAL forces (Ephesians 6). Paul told Timothy, “endure hardness, as a good SOLDIER of Jesus Christ” (2 Timothy 2:3). It’s not a call to carnal warfare in any way; it’s completely spiritual. It’s basic, historical and orthodox Christianity.
2. The phrase “religious cult” intends to malign. The word “religion” itself is simply defined in the Merriam Webster Dictionary as “a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices … the service and worship of God or the supernatural … commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance … a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith.”2 Now, we believe in Jesus, we worship God, we are committed to faith and we hold to it with ARDOR; yet you cannot call us “religious” in an effort to simply lump us together with organized religion. We openly declare SPIRITUAL WAR on “religion.” We contend against the corrupt religious establishments and organizations of this fallen world who say one thing yet do another. In truth, we believe in and adhere to the REVOLUTIONARY saying, “Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is a relationship.“
“Cult” is a buzzword. This hated word is defined as “a religion regarded as unorthodox or spurious.”3 But “cult” is also simply defined as “great devotion to a person, idea, object, movement, or work.”3 WE THOROUGHLY EMBRACE THIS SECOND DEFINITION! We call ourselves “The Cult of the Living God,” because we have “great devotion” to Jesus, to His “movement” and “work.”
Being devoted to Christ’s “movement, or work” also classifies us as a Christian “culture.” “Culture” is related to “cult.” Check out a key article by General Jim on the word “cult” by clicking HERE.
If you’re using “cult” to hurt us, it won’t work. We are The Cult (Devoted Culture!) of the Living God, Jesus Christ the Lord! If you really think we’re violating some Biblical standard somewhere, then we invite you to prove that we are “unorthodox or spurious” by showing us proof – BIBLICALLY.
Some people don’t like the idea of community living; others don’t like how bold we are in sharing our faith. But can they prove community living and AGGRESSIVELY contending for the faith are wrong? Can they provide in context quotes from our own writings that show us in error? Can they present Bible-based arguments against our teachings and lifestyle? Please present your argument, and then, to be fair, let us respond so we can clarify misconceptions and/or verify that nothing is being taken out of context. That would be the civil thing to do.
“Oracle”???
Hill claims, “…the group operated under the leadership of Sarah’s mother, who believed herself to be God’s oracle.” Three things wrong here:
1. The group has always operated with mutual respect for both spiritual leaders, Jim and Deborah, not to mention elders in their respective positions. We each have our place in Christ. Jim once said of his wife, “She was in all respects the ‘Point Woman’ in Aggressive Christianity Missions Training Corps’ International work/war.”4 I would also call her the “Point Woman” of Prophetic Words and Prophetic leadership in ACMTC. At the same time, Jim is rightly called the “Point Man” of Apostolic leadership in this movement. He is also the “Point Man” for Bible Studies, Aggressive Christian expository preaching, teaching and writing. The elders and all members, in this ministry as in all Holy Spirit led ministries, have their places too, as it says, “For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: so we, [being] many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, [let us prophesy] according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, [let us wait] on [our] ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching,” and so on for us ALL (Romans 12:4-7; read 12:1-18).
2. General Deborah didn’t appoint herself: God called her to be a Prophetess, which is a Biblical office (Ephesians 4:11-16), and a gift (1 Corinthians 12 and 14), and the fruit of her prophecies is good Christian fruit. That is, the prophecies God has given her, definitely lead people closer to Jesus (Luke 11:14-20). I can testify to that myself, as thousands of others can too.
The undertone of Hill’s label “oracle” is implying that General Deborah thinks she’s the ONLY mouthpiece of God. It’s another fallacy of his (instigated by Sarah, Maura or ???). Neither General Deborah, nor any prophecies God has given her, EVER said that she is the ONLY Prophetess. General Jim has never said that either. In fact, none of us have ever said that. We ALL believe that she is a Prophetess, and have always believed that God has true Christian prophets and prophetesses all over the world — although they are very few in number.
3. Finally, as a side note, no one I know ever called her by the title “oracle.” She is a Biblical Prophetess. I’m sure this “oracle” thing is a way to add more hype, somehow.

You will not find one single reference to General Deborah Green being the sole leader of ACMTC. You will not find one single reference to General Deborah Green being the sole prophetess in this world. You will not find one single reference to General Deborah Green being called God’s “oracle.” (Realize there is one Youtube video called, “Cult! Cult! Cult! Prophet General Deborah Green — Oracle of God. What is wrong with Prophecy?” that we posted using “Oracle” in response to Hill’s article, “The Oracle’s Daughter.” Find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNYvegLb0lc)
Again, the Generals are in Biblical leadership positions; the elders are the same; and so on throughout the GLOBAL BODY OF CHRIST! We don’t worship them. We’ve never worshipped any man or woman. We were all saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God! Jesus is our Focus, our Ultimate Leader and our Only Savior.
Yet again, ALL true Christians should respect God-appointed human leadership (1 Timothy 5:17), while Only Jesus Christ the Lord remains the object of our affectionate praise, worship and adoration.
I’m clearing the air on that. Please stop misrepresenting us and making us sound like idiots who worship a human leader. And please stop disrespecting the idea of Christian human leadership.
Rank is EVIL?
Nearly every Christian denomination, group, club, organization and church assigns rank in one way or another. In ACMTC, everyone who felt called by God to be part of the ministry received a rank, with longstanding faithful Christians being elders. Why would anyone say this type of organization is wrong? Because it’s different than the average church structure? Is different here WRONG?
Every corporate business, office, school, state municipal building, team, movie theater and fast-food joint applies DIFFERENT methods of rank, leadership and guidance. Churches have pastors, missionaries and evangelists; some churches have apostles, prophets and prophetesses; many have assistant pastors, deacons, ushers and youth leaders. The Roman Catholic Church has a pope followed by cardinals, archbishops, bishops, priests, deacons … and so on. Not to mention the varying structures of the Greek and Roman Orthodox Churches, the Syrian Churches, Mennonites, Hutterites and others.
I guess, all of a sudden, when you mention the word “cult” while simultaneously saying “rank,” it somehow taints the word “rank,” as if “rank” is evil. We all need rank/leadership and order in our lives. That’s common sense. WAIT! Is common sense EVIL too?
God is not a God of disorder. He’s also not a God of misinformation.
Fancy Not Factual
Hill’s account is fancy wording that makes you sit tensely at the edge of your seat. SUSPENSE! It’s like something bad is going to happen in every paragraph. However, hype doesn’t automatically equal history. Be careful what you believe at face value, especially with this story, since we already proved Hill’s main source unreliable in Part 1. We’ve proven even more in Part 2.
Based on a True Story – Like the Movies
There’s one thing a lot of story-lovers hate: when the “story bubble” is popped. It’s like a guy who loves a movie that’s “based on a true story,” but then his buddy comes along and explains the real history – a history that’s totally different than the movie. OOOHHH, MAN! The movie-lover hates realizing their favorite story is TOTALLY MADE UP! “Based on a True Story” often = the opposite of reality.
Before you go around quoting a “Based on True Events” story, you better do some decent research if you want to be honest. Sadly, it’s clear Hill didn’t do his research on this one. He unfortunately got taken in by some malicious people.
