You can tell right off the bat that Hill is not a fact checker. It’s his details. Details that change the whole story.
Hill described our home as “piñon pines that stretched in every direction.”1 No they didn’t. While we had a small number of piñon pines here and there, they definitely weren’t stretching in every direction. That was the junipers. Piñon pines were stacked along the edge of the road and tucked in sections of woods that followed Route 36 towards the small rural town of Quemado.
Hill wrote, “… shacks and scattered trailers on the compound.” Nope. The main buildings at that time included a quaint renovated southwest style home and a large commercial-quality shop building, very well constructed, that was in the process of being finished. A silver Airstream trailer and a large commercial-sized bus, remodeled into living quarters, were nestled along the landscaped driveway heading up to the shop.
After Sarah left, two more trailer homes were installed on the property and remodeled into comfortable living spaces, wood stoves and all.
The next quote from Harrison’s introduction has to be my favorite. It relates to Sarah’s dramatic nighttime “escape” from the “compound”: “… she [Sarah] listened for the yelp of dogs who prowled the property in search of deer — and people.”
Yup. Those were the foot-and-a-half tall, 20 lb. fur-ball Shelties. You know, like miniature Lassie dogs. THREATENING! Maybe a whole pack could take down a deer? Well, a really sick, lame, dead deer. But Shelties DO prowl for people, right?
So, Harrison introduces us to a supposedly true eyewitness account, but his very first paragraph has details that either came from a witness with no eyes and ears, or a false witness.
Why do details matter? Because BLATANT FICTIONAL “DETAILS” IN A NON-FICTION HISTORICAL ACCOUNT, RAISE DOUBT ABOUT THE ACCOUNT AND THE SOURCES OF THE ACCOUNT. We live in a time when people are sick of being lied to.
Little Shelty dogs prowling the property “in search of deer – and people”! That’s libel.
The end of Hill’s intro is amazing. Sarah claims she had to scale a stone wall in order to “escape” the compound. Well, well! I used to run a cross-country trail that followed the fence-line all the way around the property. Guess what? There wasn’t one stone wall or even a section of a stone wall ANYWHERE IN SIGHT! If you are delusional, I suppose you could convince yourself that you see a wall when you jog by the two stone pillars at the head of the driveway. I mean, they are maybe 4 ft. tall, sitting on either side of the driveway with a giant space in-between them. On a really dark night, a couple pillars like that could pose a huge obstacle to anyone who didn’t have the presence of mind to figure out how to walk in-between them! Or maybe Sarah’s memory isn’t so good? Maybe, just maybe, SHE LIED ABOUT A LOT OF THINGS SHE “REMEMBERS”!
I still have home video footage of that front gate that I’m more than willing to share. Heck, even the news media have shown video footage of our small stone pillars at the entrance of our driveway. Do Sarah and Hill not watch the news? Take a look: 2

I’m still trying to figure out which of the two pillars Sarah had to throw her backpack over. Which one do you think?
How come Harrison didn’t at least look on google maps? He could have seen the WHOLE PROPERTY LINE. A total stranger to this story can see NOT ONE STINKING PIECE OF A STONE WALL! Please, head over to Google Maps and take a look! I’ve uploaded a zoomed-in screenshot image below. It took me all of 5 minutes to type in Google Maps, enter “Fence Lake,” follow HWY 36 to the right until I saw the big turn that bends downward, locate the large shop building, zoom in on the driveway, screenshot, and marvel at how people will believe anything they are told. (I added the red arrows to draw the readers’ attention to the barely visible stone pillars.)

I’ve got a rhetorical question for you. You know what’s more INCREDIBLE than Harrison Hill’s insane intro? I bet some of Sarah’s fans could see the above pictures — clearly proving that there are ZERO stone walls at the “spooky compound”; undoubtedly proving also that Sarah is a LIAR — yet nothing will change in their minds and I believe they won’t even doubt her narrative at all. I’m sure they won’t even question Harrison’s scholarship, either.
THAT’S WHAT’S INCREDIBLE! Seeing a lie right in front of them, many won’t even bother to acknowledge these photos or the implications of this evidence. Dear reader, will you acknowledge what you can SEE with YOUR OWN EYES, or will you still believe what she CLAIMS?
As as side note, the only actual stone wall that ACMTC ever built was on 2505 Mead Avenue in Biggs, California in the 1980’s. Even this was not a fortress stone wall to “scale,” and it only spanned the front of the property. That means ACMTC never owned a property, EVER, that was enclosed by a stone wall or that hindered anyone leaving or imprisoned anyone inside.
If you are concerned with facts, check out our 13 “Px2 Files” DVD disks that show footage of General Jim and crew building the beautiful, and very normal, property-line stone wall in Biggs. Below is a recent snapshot of it from Google Earth. It’s still there!

Another side note relating to leaving the Fence Lake property: When I lived at the Fence Lake Camp, I used to go on hikes miles out into the desert wilderness, along back country roads and near neighbors. I loved it. I hiked, walked and jogged all over, at least once a week, every week, for years. There was a season when I was into biking, too. I’d bike down Route 36 and back. Miles. Alone. I didn’t even have to throw my bike over the Great Wall of Fence Lake Camp in order to exercise!
We’ve already uncovered gross discrepancies in the narrative, just from Harrison’s intro. This is just the beginning.
Let’s end Part 1 by thinking about dishonest people. How about … dishonest chefs? Dear reader, do you appreciate it when a chef makes bold claims about his “great cuisine” yet in your first scoop you pull up half a dozen rotten carrots? Would you keep eating the soup without question, or would you start doubting ALL the ingredients in there? Me, I would seriously investigate by digging around in that nasty bowl. I’d see what other garbage I could find, because I don’t like LIES and I don’t want to eat a bowl full of rotten compost, do you?
