Huh? Yeah, that’s right. How many believers do you know that once were alive in Christ but are now dead?
But what does R.E.D. (Red) stand for? It’s not about red communism but about militant – aggressive – radical – Biblical Christianity, aka, “Radical-Extremely-Dangerous. Jesus was/is R-E-D. He was/is the founder of this elite “Eagle Force,” aka, “Isaiah 40:3 Army.”
Let me be clear, I’m not speaking about any kind of physical violence, but Spirit Warfare, e.g. Ephesians 6:10-18; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Timothy 1:18; 6:12; 2 Timothy 2:3, 4 (for a better understanding of “Aggressive Christianity,” see General Catherine Booth’s 1880 book by the same name. My wife and I worked with the Salvation Army in 1979-80. The Booth’s founded the SA in England). Their work/war was for social justice. England was a nation that had fallen into social/religious ruin: “The great majority of the nation utterly ignoring God…” General Booth wrote. She lifts her eye to behold the world: “And then look at the rest of the world. I have frequently got so depressed with this view of things that I have felt as if my heart would break.” Been there done that! As we (ACMTC, aka Aggressive Christianity Missions Training Corps) have been around the world several times (some nations as many as 6 times each), we can agree with General Booth… and the world is way up in ARMS as I write.
So, my question is this: “What are we believers going to do about it?”
In her book she writes: “Satan has deceived even those whom he could not succeed in getting to lower the standard of their own lives with respect to their duties an obligations to the world.”
The Generals theme was/is “Go ye into ALL the world”; “Hearts to God and hands to work.”
It is sad to see what the SA has turned out to be these days. They are more of a “Socialist Army” than “Aggressive Army.”
We at ACMTC have tried to capture the Aggressive Spirit of their early days in the UK. Catherine writes: “Opposition! It is a bad sign for the Christianity of this day that it provokes so little opposition… when the church and the world can jog along comfortably together… we should be getting into endless turmoil” (p.15).
Trust me, if you choose to be R-E-D over being DEAD, the WAR IS ON!! To be radical and extremely dangerous is to be led of the Spirit of God, not the spirit of self and Satan.
