Our Calling: Our Mission
When the Spirit of God told us to go into the prayer closet, little did we know what lay ahead. We had given our lives to the Lord Jesus while living in Seeley Lake, MT. (Dec. 1971). The Spirit directed us to a small Pentecostal Church in KY. in 1972. We spent 5 years in this organization. We were being trained to be missionaries, hence, we made trips to Mexico City. We taught/preached. Later on, we were sent to a local missionary outpost 150 miles from Mexico City. We saw God do miracles in those years. But at our summer convention held in Jeffersonville, Ind. (our Church Int’l H.Q.) the Spirit spoke plainly to us to leave that organization & go back to Montana. This was in 1977.
We obeyed. Once in Missoula, MT we were, as I said, directed to go into the prayer closet. We spent months seeking God for His “perfect” will for us – myself, my wife, my 2 kids. God met us in the most profound way. This is where Deborah developed in the gift of prophecy. God’s Spirit would teach us many things, things we did not learn in Church. I should say, deeper things we had been taught – intercession/travail prayer, love for the lost, spiritual warfare etc., etc.
Founding of ACMTC
When we returned to CA (after our Montana / Central and South America experiences), the Spirit began to unfold God’s plan for us. This was in 1980. We held house meetings where we began to teach Spiritual Warfare / Army of God to all those who heard about us. In 1982, we bought a large house on X Street for our “Army” H.Q. After we began to grow in numbers, we needed more space. We ended up owning 4 houses which later was named Fort Freedom. In 1983, we published our first official “Army” publication called “Battle Cry”, later, “Battle Cry Sounding”.
Apropos
We grew in numbers and in PERSECUTIONS! Yep! Things got HOT on X Street!!! (see our PX2 Files). I’ve said all this to write about our Christian walk-war-witness = Battlefield experiences.
Both God & Satan use human instrumentality to accomplish this purpose. Our teachings/practices were (are) 2-fold: Christian living & rescuing the lost. Our goal was not to build just one more “church” in Sacramento (there were over 300 already!), but to troop up / train up Christian soldiers. This, in itself, raised red flags all over that wicked/sodomite city.
The 3-D’s
God’s Spirit had taught Deborah and me the 3-D’s: Dominion – Discipline – Deliverance. God also taught us (more fully) the 3-S’s: Salvation – Sanctification – Service, the work He does for us, the work He does in us, & the work He does through us. We were never taught to “have your best life now,” “have the biggest, the best, & the most” stuff. No! We were taught to first & foremost, love God above self / stuff & things, then to love the lost who are separated from Eternal life that is in Christ Jesus. In short, walk close to our Commander-in-Chief; walk in love, i.e. serving others and one another; free the captives via evangelism/missionary work; Transform the cultures if possible, meaning, ADVANCE God’s Kingdom in earth, capturing the captives of Satan’s domain.
“God Don’t Have an Army!”
We’ve heard this from the beginning. Well, we could see it this way: today’s Church is no “Army” but a Church playing church! ACMTC has from the very beginning been voluntary, despite all the anti-ACMTC onslaughts by the media & disgruntled ex-members (who claim, “They held me captive,” “They MADE me do such – & such BS!) Oh, yes, we’ve had our share of peevishly discontented members. But we’ve also had (have) “all the way!” soldiers who are grounded in the 3-D’s & 3-S’s.
Our Legacy?
Stop & consider, Christian, what kind of legacy will you leave? – one of shame or one of victory? Blaming others for your failure won’t cut it with God, who knows the thoughts & intents of the heart (Heb. 4:12: “intents, Gk., ennoia/ennomos = legal/lawful, primarily a thinking, reason, purpose). As you view the docs we’ve posted, you’ll see how those ex-members blame us for their failure to continue on in the Lord. In short, the “Blame Game”. But God knows their/our intents.
Let’s March…
Eph. 6:15: “and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.” Get your combat boots on & go to WAR in order to bring PEACE. In short, GO! “Go therefore & make disciples of all nations.” This has been our intent from the very beginning – “Taking Jesus to All the World.” We were never called to be mere church members who are slaves to Churchianity. No! And, as missionaries, we’re not called to take America to the nations, but Jesus!
In short, we’re called to be soldiers, ambassadors (2 Cor. 5:18-20). An ambassador is an authorized spokesperson or messenger commissioned by a dignitary to a foreign country as the resident rep. of his/her own intentions & government.
By the grace of God, we have done this we have taken Jesus to many nations of this world. We have supplied tons (literally!) of free printed/taped teachings etc. We have constructed camps (in some nations) for the people to meet & train. Little if nothing is ever said by the media or ex-members of this – yet some in those docs have been to those nations, been part of our “good works”. Yet, all they can do is complain.
Living Sacrifice
We have, from the beginning, taught personal sacrifice – we’ve lived it. We have put ourselves on God’s altar – bringing DEATH to ourselves. What we had, we shared. Personal vacations/luxuries were (is) out of the question. The bedroom where Deborah & I lived at Fence Lake, N.M., was no bigger than our prison cells. Yet to hear these crybabies, we lived like kings and queens.
So
Through the years we’ve been asked over & over why we do not answer our critics, our antagonists. Doesn’t 1 Pet. 3:15 tell us to “be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have” – we have done this as per our mission in life. But we don’t present ourselves to our enemies for target practice. They don’t care about our “good works,” only about our fall! Like Eccl. 3:1 says, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” We know when we are allowed to speak & to shut up! This is our time & season to have our say-so. If we speak out of season, we can invite more negative responses from their camp. This we do not need! Too many are Too happy To become a target, to get publicity. Hey, we get publicity without presenting ourselves as open season on “the Generals”.
Gospel or Gossip?
We prefer the spreading of the gospel over the spreading of gossip. We’ve heard enough chatter and repeated tall-tales about the mean ol’ Generals. People who don’t even know us nor ever wrote to us, called us, e-mailed us, chatter and relieve their bladder on us, about us. We call them “Character Assassins”, maliciously slandering & defaming ours (or someone’s) character by INTENTIONALLY (sometimes unintentionally) speaking/writing EVIL about them, falsely ACCUSING & MISREPRESENTING them, in order to DESTROY their reputation & witness for Christ Jesus. This happens to many individuals in all walks of life.
SLANDERERS
Paul mentions these in his epistle to Timothy. (1 Tim. 3:11). Note: Paul uses this word in ref. to females = “malicious gossips”. (Gk., diabolos = a false accuser, from diaballō = to traduce, accuse). Most of our Character Assassins have been (are) females. This Gk. word is the same Gk. word used for the name “devil” (diabolos). When we say these “ladies” are of the devil, we are correct! Most of these “ladies” in these docs were corrected over sexual matters, hence, they have an axe to grind. They may blame us until they turn blue in the face; the truth remains, they needed correction & we dished it out. Some just got MAD against us for other various reasons. What they ALL have in common is LYING! Some mix lies with half-truths; others are serial liars!
Fin
We expect to be lied on, persecuted, even prosecuted & imprisoned. The Bible says so (for the true Christians). We take all this in stride. Jesus did the same. But He also refuted their slander/assassination with His Word.
Jesus plainly tells us that we too will be persecuted as He was. The disciple is not above his master (see Jn. 15:18-20). Thank God it is God who judges us. His judgments are true, not biased as man’s. Let the “Sword that Cuts & the Fire that Burns” have their way in our lives. Let us keep a single eye on the prize; let us endeavor to “Take Jesus to All the World”, to finish our course as Paul wrote in Acts 20:24: “… nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race (lit., course) with joy, & the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” Note his words, “the ministry which I received from the Lord.”
Paul was called & taught, not by men but by the Lord. All these “cult” experts all say the same thing concerning us/our calling: the Greens are “self-appointed”. How do they know this? Nearly all the prophets (male/female), teachers, preachers were called by God. Why do they think that one outside the Church (box) is “self-appointed”? It is God who calls men & women for whatever calling He has for them. And, yes, some are trained & ordained by Church organizations. But God has the right to “appoint” & “anoint” for His good purposes. What He called Deborah & I to do cannot be dismissed by man or woman or organization.
