I have a very long list of questions from Harrison Hill’s “Fact Checker” in which she brings up Jael Phalen.
In the August 29, 2018, pretrial interview of Special Agent Pete Baca by Deborah’s attorney R.D. Lohbeck, starting on page 70 (of the 130-page interview) the subject turns to one of our great enemies back then (early 2000’s) Jael Phalen. She had lived at our community (by invitation) for a while before we were forced to put her out. She was using drugs & had several firearms (both forbidden at that time. Late in the mid 2000’s 2 rifles were given to our 2 grandsons by their other grandfather for the use of keeping large animals out of our large community garden (Elk, deer, and even bears. The noise would frighten away the animals. We did not use rifles for hunting since our whole community was vegetarian. This was the only time we allowed guns in camps – from 1982-2017).
So, since we removed Jael, she chose to make up lies in order to get the police involved. Before our 2nd SWAT raid, we were in the news a lot. False accusations of child abuse, drug usage, money scamming were hurled at us. Most of it stemmed from the LIES Maura Schmierer & her criminal attorney made up in the late 1980s, which set in motion a ton of media & attention, which spread nationwide.

[note: I’ll use “L” for Mr. Lohbeck & “B” for Special Agent P. Baca].
L: “Okay. And so based upon what Maura Schmierer told you, you thought that there might be some folks that were part of the group who were being kept there against their will?” (MS sued us for $20 M back in the late 1980’s, claiming we held her CAPTIVE! (see our PX2 Files for the Truth).
B: Yes
L: “Okay. And did you later find out whether or not that was true?”
B: “Later I – I conducted an interview with Ja-el Phalen, & she had left the group & she was housed at a woman’s shelter here in Grants (N.M.)”
L: “Okay. And let me spell the name for the record. It’s, her name is Ja-el. It’s J-a, with a hyphen, e-l.”
B: “Kali.”
L: “And then her middle name is K-a-l-i.”
B: “Yeah”
L: “And her last name is P-h-a-l-e-n.”

L: “How did you come to know about her?”
B: “Because we had done a presentation out here & she reported – well, she was at a woman’s shelter & she gave info. to CYFD, okay, about ABUSE (emphasis mine) of a little girl called Miracle that she (meaning Deborah or Sarah?) brought in from Africa & then other – other kids were being SEXUALLY ABUSED (emph. mine) & stuff like that.”
L: “Did you later find out that the info provided by Ms. Phalen was inaccurate?”
B: “No”
L: “And not reliable?”
B: “No sir.”
L: “Do you know who police, State Police Captain Glenn Thomas is at that time?”
B: “I don’t remember. It sounds familiar.”
L: “He was a captain – he was a captain in Gallup (N.M.)”
(P. 72) L: “And he said, about Ms. Phalen, he said none of this has been confirmed, referring to Phalen’s allegations, & they’re taking it from a witness who is SHAKY (Emp. mine). Did you know about that?”
B: “She didn’t seem shaky when I – I interviewed her. She gave me a lot of info. In fact, my partner, Agent Chris Ortiz, was with me during the interview. I – I took that info.”
Yeah, of course you did! You had an axe to grind against ever since you raided our Berino, N.M. Camp years before. (Gen. Jim).
L: “Okay. She was identified as a transient. Did you know that?”
B: “I don’t remember. She was an African American woman…”
L: “And Cibola Co. Sheriff, undersheriff at the time, Johnny Valdez said this about her, he said: ‘our dept. has one or two cases involving her that turned out to be nothing.’”
Both the CC Sheriff & undersheriff were not hostile towards us all the years we knew them. It was Pete Baca & (later) Sheriff Tony Mace who were enemies of ours. When I was in jail, Mace’s nephew told me that Tony was a real CRIMINAL & cheated on his wife numerous times as well as sold drugs/weapons they took from raids. (Gen. Jim)
L: “Okay. And – and he said: ‘last year Phalen told the Cibola Co. Sheriff’s Dept. that her neighbor was trying to kill her but that turned out to not…’”
B: “That was in Ramah?” (the town we went & picked Ja-el up from, see my article Unconstitutional Invasion for more on J.P. – Gen. Jim)

L: “That turned out to not be true. That’s what undersheriff Valdez said. Did you know that?”
B: “No, sir.”
L: “And Valdez went on, he said: Valdez said that Phalen had been kicked out of the sect & might have come forward with stories of CHILD ABUSE (my emph.) to punish the group.”
L: “Did you know that that’s what her motive was?”
B: “What motive?”
L: “Let me read it to you. This is undersheriff Johnny Valdez said this, he said the Phalen had been kicked out of the sect (note: J.V. does not call us a “cult” but a “sect”) & that she might have come forward with stories of child abuse to PUNISH (my emph.) the group.”
L: “He said, in a nutshell, ‘there is no situation.’”

L: (Lohbeck speaks about the SWAT RAID in 2000) “… these are all statements… after the raid.” (up to 40 plus law enforcement!)
Baca was there at that time. (Gen. Jim)
The interview continues: Baca admits he was there. I had Capt. Thomas kick Baca off our property – which he did. (Gen. Jim)
L: “Okay. District attorney at the time was Mike Reynolds, he said that he was concerned that the state’s child welfare agency didn’t have enough evidence to ask police to take the children. He said the agency also took the risk that the group (ACMTC) might react in a shocking manner.”(note: if the state would have come to us to find out who we were & what we believed, there would have been no RAID! We, as a group, always advocated “non-violence” – Gen. Jim)
L: “He said, ‘I don’t think you just burst into the middle of people’s private affairs without good cause. He said there was NO EVIDENCE (my emph.) the group had broken any laws.”
Fact Checker
Before I cont. on page 75, let me bring up what Julie Tate sent to us (June 9, 2025): Fact checking Harrison Hill’s book.
The question about Ja-el Phalen:
Q. “What is Mr. Green’s response to Ja-el Phalen’s suggestion that he ABUSED Miracle Green, perhaps sexually?”
Q. “What is Ms. Green’s response to Ja-el’s claim that she & Mr. Green ‘don’t feed the children okay,’ & the children had fasted ‘for two days straight with nothing but water?”
Q. What is Ms. Green’s response to J.P.’s claim ACMTC children ‘were being forced to kill animals, a ritual to prevent them from idolizing things other than God.’ The kids put cats & dogs at the ‘bottom of a pail & pour water [on them] until they drown.”
Q. Ms. Green described Ja-el Phalen as ‘a kid hater’ with ‘45 different personalities’; that Ja-el ‘had a sexual fascination’ & talked about ‘how to have sex with Frenchmen’; then Phalen ‘calls the young girls “bitchy”, & expressed a desire ‘to dress & undress the children.’ Ms. Green also said Phalen claimed she witnessed an adult male ACMTC member with a hand up his pre-teen daughter’s dress.” (this is referring to Col. Phillip & Hannah. Yeah, we heard this from (sick) J.P.! et al.
You, by now, can see just how CRAZY people can LIE! Julie Gudino, Maura Schmierer, Sarah Green, Ja-el Phalen, Jamie Bridgewater and others are serial Liars! It is one thing to lie but another to produce sound evidence. Where are their photos of such things? Where are videos? Where are police reports (I mean the real ones)? The medical reports (starvation/beatings). Get serious, folks! All the sexual/physical abuse mentioned has been debunked! The BS about Mexican doctors breaking Miracle’s legs in 8 places is a lie! (stated by BIG LIAR Julie Gudino). True, pins were inserted but no bones broken!

We left off with the DA & CYFD:
L: “I think CYFD needs credible evidence of child abuse or neglect before they start asking law enforcement for help. You can’t just go off halfcocked!”
B: “You know what…”
L: “Hold on. Did you know that, that was what DA Reynolds said about this situation back then?”
B: “No.”
L: “Okay. All right. Now, so you said you interviewed Phalen.”
B: “Yes, sir.”
L: “And – and I have what purports to be a transcript of that interview, although I have no verification. I don’t have the recording.”
B: “Yes, sir.”
L: “And that’s at State Discovery 1203 to 1245. So based upon your interview of her, of Phalen, what did you do?”
B: “Well, she gave me a lot of – she gave me several names of the members that were still there. One was Maura’s ex-husband known as Jordan, you know, he was still with the group over here. And…”
[note: Steve Schmierer’s father committed suicide when he was a teen, so he changed his name to Philip Jordan when he got saved & was part of our team in Sacto., CA. when he was married to Maura. They both were hippies, dope growers & users (see Deborah’s “X Street Files to the Present”, A Timeline – Essay Covering 1970-2012. She writes about Steve before & after his wonderful conversion/transformation (found in our PX2 Files Trilogy #1, pp. 6-22, with photos); In Trilogy #3, Col. Philip Jordan (AKA Steve Schmierer) has an article called “The Truth”, pp. 26-31, in which he writes about all this, especially about his (unfaithful) wife, Maura].

L: “So she’s telling you BAD things about her ex-husband; is that it?”
B: “No. I don’t think she told me anything wrong about her husband, sir. But she told me about what she had seen.”
[J.P. took drugs, legal & illegal. She complained to us before she went off the rails that she was hallucinating, seeing & hearing things that weren’t there. She told the police that we had an army tank on the grounds! Yep! An army tank! She said we were heavily armed & ready to fight if need be. So, you can understand how she could have made up all those “scary” stories we were supposed to have done. The Police did find out that she used drugs (forgot what kind), Gen. Jim].
L: “Hold on. Let’s put names.”
B: “I don’t remember.”
L: “Who – who told you? Are you talking about Maura or are you talking about Phalen?”
B: “Phalen.”
L: “Okay. Phalen told you about things she had seen?”
B: “Yes, sir.”
L: “Okay. While she was at the property at Fence Lake?”
B: “Correct.”
L: “And she was only there for, what, a couple of months?”
B: “I don’t know.”
L: “You don’t know how long?”
B: “Well, I don’t remember.”
L: “Okay. And did you conduct a fair objective interview of her?”

B: “Yes, I believe I did.”
L: “Did you ask her – are you supposed to ask leading question in an interrogation like this?”
B: “I don’t know if I asked leading questions, sir.”
L: “Would it be inappropriate if you asked her leading questions?”
L: “Based upon your training as a law enforcement officer, is it inappropriate to ask a person in an interview like this leading questions?”
B: “It could be…”
L: “Do you remember when you guys talked about ‘army of God’ & ‘soldiers of God’ & that sort of thing & you made a statement that you thought everybody should (page 78) be a ‘soldier of God’? Do you remember that? Do you remember saying that?”
[note: the “Army of God” is Scriptural! But saying it & living it caused the DEMON FORCES of HELL to attack us relentlessly – year-after-year! When the Lord asked us to start an “AOG”, get into uniforms, this naturally scared the HELL!!! out of the city of Sacramento, CA. back in the early 1980’s. I mean both Church & State went on “Red Alert” concerning our small group of soldiers (around 100 plus before we were forced to move to another location – but persecution followed us, hence, the WAR started up all over again. Even Baca admits that God DOES have an Earthly/spiritual Army! Gen. Jim].
B: “Well, that was a good statement. You know, everybody should be a soldier of God. We all, I am!”
WHAT??? Yep! You read it right “… you know, everybody should be a soldier of God. We all, I am!” (Gen. Jim)
L: “Do you think everybody should?”
B: “I don’t know. It would be up to each person.”
L: “Okay. But you consider yourself to be a soldier of God?”
B: “I do!”
L: “And do you know other soldiers of God?”
B: “No.”
[Here Baca is really confused over all this “Army of God”. He says everyone should be a soldier, yet he never once requested Deborah or myself to explain (Biblically) what we believe, why we do what we do. Remember, he attacked us at Berino before the Sheriff’s Raid at Fence Lake. Why did he not sit down and interview us? Not a single police at Southern N.M or Northern N.M. interviewed us as to our intentions in N.M. Only just before the 2nd Sheriff Raid did Dt. Steve Chavez give us time – but this was not a friendly interview, but a hostile one over the death of Enoch (who died of hereditary juvenile onset Huntington’s after his immune system was weakened by the Flu). He never once asked us to show him anything from the Scripture, him nor Baca nor Mace, nor Munk et al. Not a single cop came to us as to why we called ourselves “The Army of God”. Gen. Jim]
L: “Like or other people who think of themselves as being soldiers of God, like friends, relatives, people that go to church?”
B: “You know what, I have a very good friend that every Wednesday I go to an art class at the senior center in North Valley ABQ. I have a very good friend. His name is Luke Castillo, & he is – he’s a deacon. You know, in fact, he – he told me, he says, ‘you know what, when my wife passes away, I’m going to – I’m going to become a monk.’”
L: “So the info. that you learned from your interview of Ms. Phalen.”

B: “Yes, sir.”
L: “Did you consider any of it to be significant or – or cause for concern?”
B: “Well-well, I gather – I got – I gathered it as info. to further the investigation, you know.”
L: “And as a general matter, you’re not – you’re not investigating any potential crimes, you’re just gathering info.?”
B: “Correct.”
L: “Okay. And how is it that Ms. Phalen came to your attention?”
B: “… It might have been Valdez, State Police Valdez that called me.”
L: “Wasn’t it because Phalen, after she started talking to new reporters & telling them all these crazy stories.”
B: “I don’t remember that.”

L: “… because at the time Darren White was a news reporter for one of the T.V. stations in ABQ & she’s the one that he went – he’s the reporter that Phalen went to, to first tell these crazy stories to.”
B: “No, sir.”
L: “You don’t remember that?”
B: “No, sir, I never – know that.”
L: “And that Darren White was the guy behind this?”
B: “I remember how the stories got generated.”
L: “How…?”
B: “I – I – I gave my report to the deputy director Jim Plagens and -”
L: “And just to clarify, he’s the deputy director of DPS?”
B: “Yes.”
L: “And who was the director at the time?”
B: “Darren White”
L: “And then later he became the T.V. news reporter.”
This interview goes on page after page, still talking about the liar/drug addicted J. Phalen. On page 104, attorney Lohbeck asked the question, “And the info. that Maura Schmierer provided to you, again, you took that info. for (page 105) what she said but didn’t do anything to independently verify whether anything she said was true, correct?” [note: no matter what MS would have said, she would not be telling the truth. She was & still is a SERIAL LIAR!, Gen. Jim].
On page 118, the interview basically ends as far as we (ACMTC) are concerned. The last mention of us is about chemical weapons & suicide:
L: “You don’t need to make chemicals to commit suicide” (as reporter D. White was reporting for a week over T.V.).
B: “No, that’s true.”
L: “Yeah. But that’s why you put it in there (report)?”
B: “Yes, sir.”
L: “Did you ever gather any info. from anybody that ACMTC was suicidal?”
B: “No, not – not that – I can’t remember. I don’t remember.”
Seems to us that all this Police/T.V. reporting etc. would not have demonized us IF the police/DA/Television would have come to us in a non-hostile manner to inquire of our intentions in N.M. we had (literally) tons of printed/audio/visual material (free) available. Why didn’t they request some of those sources? Well, we all know that N.M. is a democratic state & we all were, not republicans, but conservatives, a Biblically based community – a CULT (“culture of Christianity”). To this very day, not one official has apologized for all the HELL they put us through. The death of Enoch was no reason to put us in prison – but they did out of spite! Baca claimed to be a “soldier of Christ” yet he and others would not accept us as the same. To them we were a DANGEROUS, HOSTILE, CRUEL, HATEFUL, SARDONIC, SATANIC, DECEITFUL, FECKLESS, WORTHLESS, DRACONIAN, FASCIST, FERAL FIENDS lacking in pity or love. What the State did to us was CRIMINAL! Their portrayal of us is terribly flawed – may be of the heroic utopian dreamer /revolutionary genre for some – but we are a people with a CAUSE – “take Jesus to all the world!” Some, thank God, see us for what we are & strive to be & do. We try to hold onto our Christian faith with militancy! We, as a group, have come face-to-face with devils out of the PIT of HELL! We want our faith in Jesus Christ to be UNSHAKABLE/UNBREAKABLE!!! We don’t want a DEAD & DRY religion, but a LIVING ROMANTIC PASSION for Christ & for His will.
All one has to do is research ACMTC / Generals Jim & Deborah Green and you’ll get an ear full – Satan will spit in your eyes & ears! The stuff seethes with ambiguities, complexities, analytical/hysterical rants, unbalanced, untrue, but for some, convincing.
The merit of our work/war lies not in the hands of men & devils, but in the hands of THE ONE who died for us – Jesus.
Some see us as reckless, too daring. Well, what do soldiers of Christ do in war? We don’t go around looking for fights. No, sir! If one lives the Christian life, fights will come to you. The Spirit of God has taught us to be a passionate idealist & a cold-hearted people as far as sin goes. We want to liberate the captives, but not at the cost of compromising our faith. We remain COLD in this area.
Over the years we’ve experienced victories and failures, equally spectacular. We’ve seen many DIE on the battlefield as well as many BORN into the Kingdom of God! He LIVES!!!
