There’s no turning back what our God shall now do.
The limit’s been past; His wrath shall ensue.
Over the brink, man’s pushed God too far.
Fury displayed; this land shall it mar.
No more withholding as cup overflows,
The fire it rages as wind on it ere blows.
Oh, what a weeping and gnashing of teeth,
When God from on High meets with sin from beneath!
The vile filth of their flaunting, their God to defy,
Their marriages making, Sodom’s day draweth nigh.
Pink wretched perversion, how far can it go
Before the Just Judge, His right justice show
The mercies of warnings fast fleeting away,
The Lamb’s wrath from Heaven, man’s pride doth low lay.
Oh, what a weeping and gnashing of teeth,
When God from on High meets with sin from beneath!
Mercies in Judgment, a remnant to spare.
The faithful, repentance with turnings, declare.
Still many the peoples who were once no more,
Shut on themselves, locked mercy’s door.
Through lust unbridled, a great number fell.
Steep is the descent, broad’s the road to Hell.
Oh, what a weeping and gnashing of teeth,
When God from on High meets with sin from beneath!
