Spoiling the House
This Mark 3:27 text needs to be studied by the Church more often. Too many church folks are literally BOUND by demon forces – physically, emotionally, mentally.
The plundering and carrying off of satan’s possession is this: Delivering those who have been held captive by satan’s power, giving them over to God so that they may receive forgiveness of sin and sanctification thru faith in Christ (see Luke 11:22; Acts 26:18). Before we can become Christ’s children, we’ve got to be set free, let out of satan’s prisonhouse of sin by a power GREATER than satan’s. That power is ONLY the power of the Cross.
Rescue
“Operation Rescue the Perishing.”
This is the LORD’S plan for man – free them from the prisonhouse of the DAMNED! The Ops is not physical warfare, literal carnal warfare, but spiritual ops (see Ephesians 6:12). Once freed, we must commit to living fervently, aggressively, committed to the way of truth and righteousness (see Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 6:14).
Delivered!
Paul, in Acts 26:18, recalls what God did for him on the way to Damascus, when he was headed to persecute the believers there. Paul was stopped by the power of the risen Christ (Acts 26:13-16). He was told that he was to be sent to the Gentiles (v. 17) “to open their eyes, in order to turn them from DARKNESS to LIGHT, and from the power of satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified (lit. “set apart”) by faith in Me (Jesus)” (v. 18).
Rescuing of Prisoners
This is what Jesus’ message is all about: Christ rescuing the prisoners of satan, plundering satan’s house/kingdom, making satan’s POWs Christ’s POWs (Ephesians 2:1-8). “Being captives of satan, we lived according to the course of this (fallen) world, according to the prince of the power of the air (spirit)…” (Ephesians 2:2).
Demonic Power Broken
Jesus proved this could be done. Read those Biblical accounts where Jesus healed/delivered those BOUND/AFFLICTED by demon spirits. Satan’s power can be broken (see Acts 26:13; Ephesians 6:16; 1 Thessalonians 5:8; etc.). God has given us spiritual weapons to fight the good fight of faith, to wage the good warfare (1 Timothy 6:12 and 1:18).
Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 about our WARFARE/WEAPONS. He uses strong MILITARY language to get his message across.
To hear some of these “Christian” ministers today, both males and females, you would think that Christ died only to make us rich and well loved by the world. Just where they find that in Scripture, I do not know!
Through the years I have been criticized over and over for using military terms in order to press my points under discussion. Jesus demonstrated, AGGRESSIVELY, against the power of HELL by healing and delivering captives of satan – setting them FREE! He didn’t resort to psychology but got physical! – for the sick, deformed, diseased, possessed got set free by His WORD!!
He didn’t prescribe drugs to His patients as ministers do today … offering one kind of placebo or another (a placebo is “an inert medication used for its psychological effect or for purposes of comparison in an experiment”). If ministers exercised the power of God against demonic strongholds, many would not have to use drugs as quackery. Most ministers today are literally powerless against demonic powers: they themselves are bound by demons in one way or the other.
Since Jesus cast out demons in His own Name/Word, He healed the sick as well: “When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick” (Matthew 8:16; see also Mark 1:34; Luke 4:40-41).
Jesus, after His death and resurrection, appears to the eleven and tells them, “Go into the world world and proclaim the Gospel … These signs will accompany those who believe: in My name (Jesus) they will DRIVE OUT DEMONS … they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mark 16:15,17-18).
(Note: I have taught/wrote about DEMON WARFARE for over 4 decades – practiced it as well – with great results!)
Satan: “Welcome to My Furnace”?
As my wife and I have just completed 51 years of Christian service, we’ve had to fight like HELL against HELL to stay alive in Christ. Just about every decision we’ve made, every action we took, was opposed by demon spirits. Our very lives were threatened over and over – here in “Christian” America as well as in all the nations we’ve been to … ending us also in prison, where verbal and physical assaults are commonplace.
Many in America think persecution against Christians is perpetrated by nations outside the U.S., and while this is all too true, we have suffered more in America, for our FAITH, than in all the hostile nations we’ve been to. We’re always reminded (by the Holy Spirit) that Jesus faced persecutions / prosecution by His own people (the Jews), ending in DEATH. He “went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people … afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them” (Matthew 4:23-24).
Jesus bound the demons, then set the captives free! This is something the devil hates! The devil loves those who love to hate Christians and Biblical Christianity; Jesus loves to free those bound by demonic powers!
Receive POWER!
Jesus told His apostles/disciples, after His death and resurrection and appearance, “you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me … to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8). This “witnessing” we have done over our 51 years of service.
We need the Holy Spirit in this war for souls: the same Holy Spirit Jesus was filled with (see Luke 4:1, 14). Read the entire book of Acts, literally, the ACTS of the Apostles.
Gospel
Paul writes: “I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the POWER of God to salvation for everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16). Paul was not afraid or ashamed to proclaim, “Jesus saves!” There was great hostility in those days against this new CULT, aka, “Cult of the Living God”! The Jewish nation set about to destroy it: the Romans were afraid of it, since it threatened Rome itself, Jesus being the King of this “new religion.” It is precisely through the crucifixion/resurrection of JESUS that gave POWER to this “new faith.” The killing of Jesus gave the Gospel LIFE.
Normalizing DEATH
By death I mean the opposite of life, be it spiritual, emotional, or mental health. The latest form of DEATH being to normalize pederasty/pedophilia, that is, “lust and sexual interactions between men and boys/youths; the practice of anal intercourse or oral intercourse between men and boys/youths.”
The world is RUSHING to its grave! Sin is literally killing whole populations off at a rapid pace. Here in America, the spirit of antiChrist is full steam ahead!
Hear the Word of the Spirit
The following excerpts are taken from a prophetic Word given by my wife on November 1, 2022:
“There are multitudes who are fretting themselves on every hand, full of fear and ever anxious as to how they shall live on this earth. … When those who once served Me turn aside to SIN, they are the ones who choose to separate themselves from Me by their SINS … those who are unfaithful unto Me do not hide their transgressions nor whoredoms. … When anyone makes their decisions according to DEMONIC pressures, they will suffer from the consequences of the same. … those who give way to the suggestions of SIN, which the SEDUCING SPIRITS use to entice them into the prison house of SIN and DEATH. … Be thankful every day for My Son Jesus who gave Himself to cover your SINSand to bring you forth in the WAY that is My TRUTH. … Consider how many have been mastered by SIN, and by such have become slaves who toil for nothing except DAMNATION of their souls. How desolate and despairing to live life upon this SIN-cursed earth, then end in HELL when it is finished. … do not look for disappointment, look for divine appointment whereby I give to you all that you need, and I bring you forth knowing the power of My presence and My goodness unto you. Give thanks & praise.”
If & When
If and when we sin, REPENT, CONFESSING the power of the Cross and the efficacy of the Blood of Jesus (see Romans 3:25; Colossians 2:15; Hebrews 2:14-15; 9:12, 14; 10:12-14). We can pray in the Spirit (Acts 6:4; Ephesians 6:18), we can rebuke demon spirits, for Christ Jesus has given us power over them as He did His disciples: “When He had called His 12 disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease” (Matthew 10:1; see also 12:28; 17:17-21; Mark 16:17; Luke 10:17; Acts 5:16; 8:7; 16:18; 19:12).
So many in this generation are hopeless and helpless, not only those of the world, but those in the Church. WE HAVE THE POWER TO BIND THE STRONGMAN. We are “employed” by the Kingdom of LIGHT and “deployed” in the world of darkness. We are as lambs and sheep among wolves.
Don’t be among those where “sin is in” but among those where “doubt is out.”
Be STRONG!
Be READY!
Be VIGILANT!
Be COURAGEOUS!
At the end of the day, let our testimony be that of Paul’s:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (1 Timothy 6:12; 1:18; 2 Corinthians 10:3-6).
Time!
It is time to REBEL against HELL! Darkness is covering the land – time to let your light shine. Be that bright light. Amen.
