The LORD God & the Holy Spirit is the author of prophecy. Prophecy does not come by the will of man or women but by God & the Holy Spirit. We’re not to change what the LORD/Lord/Holy Spirit says to make it easy on the flesh, palatable. Some of God’s Words are “rough on rats,” as the old church saying goes. His Word is like a hammer & like a fire. The Prophet Jeremiah recorded what God had to say:
“The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream; And he who has My Word, let him speak My Word faithfully…”
Let the prophet speak faithfully! Not change it. “Is not My Word like a fire?’ says the LORD, ‘And like a hammer that breaks the rocks in pieces?’” -Jer. 23:28-29, NKJV.
The LORD told Jeremiah, “Because you speak this Word, behold, I will make My Words in your mouth fire…” -Jer. 5:14. It is the LORD who puts His Word in the mouths of His prophets (male/female) (see Jer. 1:9). For what reason you ask?
“To root out & to pull down, To destroy & to throw down, To build & to plant” -Jer. 1:10.
With this said, we have no right to alter or change God’s Word whatsoever. To get to my point –apropos- God has given my wife the gift of prophecy (and other gifts as well). Through the years we’ve dealt with those who literally hated her & hated some of the Words the Spirit put in her mouth – they were/are like fire, a hammer, a sword… burning, smashing, cutting!
On the other hand, we’ve dealt with those who love her & His Word but wanted to change some of the Words so as to make the fire a small fire, not so harsh & unloving when the hammer began to smash, idols in lives… to make the Sharp Two-Edged Sword dull so as not to cut to deep. Some do not like her voice, so they want to robotize God’s Word.
The Word tells us not to mess with His prophets nor with His Word. Many people that appreciate God’s prophecies & His prophets point out Rev. 22:18,19:
“For I testify to everyone who hears the Words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone ADDS to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone TAKES AWAY from the Words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life…”
This is how the Author of the inspired Word of God (2Tim. 3:16,17) feels about tampering. Yet men & women have violated His Word, mutilated, rearranged it, added to it, taken away from it, perverted it, corrupted & defiled it.
I read the other day a person trying to explain this principle:
“An American Indian’s Song is his/her very own. No other man/woman can sing it without his/her explicit permission. It is impregnate with their aura. It is not in our sense, however, property. It is believed to invest magically the singer with the mood whence it proceeded and must, therefore, merge in some way the performer’s identity with that of the originators.” This person went on to explain, “To sing another’s song is an invasion of his/her personality, a sort of spiritual piracy involving sacrilege.” Get his point?
There were false prophets/apostles & disciples in Jesus’ day – so do we have them today. But there are also genuine prophets/disciples of Christ proclaiming His Word faithfully. If God wishes to BURN-SMASH-CUT, let Him do it. Let Him BURN the Hell out of us so as we will not agree with HELL (as do soooo many in todays Church).
While God uses the man or woman for His prophesyings (see 1Cor. 12:10), it is not their own Words – they just yield to His Spirit as did the prophets of old. We even had certain souls wanting to sell Deborah’s prophecies (which are not hers but God’s). In selling them they wanted to change some of them so as to be more acceptable to the flesh!
2Pet. 1:20,21 says, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit”
Peter went on to write:
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as these shall be false teachers among you…” 2Pet. 2:1.
Peter spends the whole of chapter 2 exposing false prophets/teachers & their characteristics.
Not only have we dealt with the false prophets/teachers but with those who wanted to change/sell what the Spirit put in & through Gen. Deborah (see jesuscallstoall.com). Peter dealt with those who “twisted” epistles the epistles of Paul (see 2Pet. 3:15,16). Peter said some untaught & unstable people “TWIST their own destruction, as they do also the rest of Scriptures.” These people, ignorant/unstable are evidently the same as the “unsteady souls” in 2:14.
So, what we’ve got today is an UN-pure Church. Preachers, teachers, et al. are in it for personal gain/fame. Ego rulers. Those who do seek to crucify the flesh, fast & pray are looked upon with contempt. We have a Spirit-less Clergy/laity (for most part). True Spirit authenticity is almost extinct; the Church (USA) has gone WOKE!
Friends, what is needed is a “Bloody Revolution,” the blood of Jesus cleanses us of all sin!
