Solomon wrote, “With all vigilance GUARD your heart, for in it are the sources of life” (Proverbs 4:13).
Following that piece of advice, he wrote, “A dishonest mouth put away from you, deceitful lips, put far from you” (v. 24). That’s only half of his advice: “Let your eyes look straight ahead and your gaze be focused far out” (v. 25). He finishes with, “Survey the path for your feet and all your ways will be sure. Turn neither to right nor to left, keep your foot far from evil” (vv. 26-27).
Before Solomon wrote about the heart, the mouth, the eyes, and the feet, he wrote: “My son, to my words be attentive, to my sayings incline your ear; let them not slip from your sight, keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, bringing health to one’s WHOLE BEING” (4:20-22).
In these short but powerful Scriptures, Solomon lays before us godly wisdom that brings LIFE AND HEALTH to those who hear and believe – individually and nationally.
UNgeneration
In this UNgeneration, it would serve us well to take heed of these words of divine wisdom. By “UN” I mean opposite of; contrary to. America (and the world in general) has become more and more UNgodly, UNAmerican, UNbalanced, UNbecoming, UNChristian, UNchurched, UNcivilized, UNclean, UNcommitted to what is pure and virtuous, UNconscionable, UNreasonable, UNcouth, UNctuously (i.e., insincerely smooth in speech and manner so as to DECEIVE), UNdaunted (in boldness to SIN), Ugly as Hell itself!
And, lest you think this is not true, look at the fruit of our labors in this nation: deceit, desolation of national soul, depression, delusion, destruction, death and DAMNATION!
We, as a nation, have thrown off all restraints and embraced DAMNABLE behaviors that even make satan and his demons blush!
So, my fellow Americans, does it come as a surprise that we are seeing, hearing, feeling God’s WRATH, FURY – INDIGNATION? To be honest, I do realize that many are so reprobate that they actually believe we are blessed.
Solomon’s Process for Progress = Prosperity
Please don’t take the word “prosperity” as me being one of those “blab-it-and-grab-it” or “get-rich-quick-in-the-name-of-Jesus” guys. No, sir! By prosperity I mean spiritual prosperity.
This is not to say that riches in themselves are of the devil. No sir! But the LOVE of riches ($$$) is the root of all evil, as the Bible states (1 Timothy 6:10).
The “love of $$” has been the UNdoing of many. People have UNderestimated the power of the LUST and LOVE of wealth. Has America gone bankrupt spiritually over the LUST and LOVE of $$? You answer this, please.
With such abundance, America has become UNdernourished spiritually. I UNderscore this word “UNdernourished.” Our national conscience has been seared with a hot iron, like it mentions in 1 Timothy 4:1,2 – “Now the Spirit explicitly says that in the LAST TIMES (our time) some will turn away from the faith by paying attention to deceitful spirits and demonic instruction through the hypocrisy of liars with branded (lit., ‘seared’) consciences.” The Bible gives numerous texts on demonic activities, speech and deeds. We need to listen!
That word “seared” (KJV, NKJV, et al.) in Greek (kauteviazo) means, “to brand (cauterize), i.e., to render UNsensitive (fig.); from kaio (a primary verb), meaning to set on fire, consume, burn.”
Will you not agree that many in this nation, from all walks of life, are BURNING with LUST for sex, drugs, drink, $$$, power, etc.? They are UNsensitive to laws of conduct, ethics, and values.
Solomon lays out for us wisdom that brings life and health:
- Hearing the teacher’s words and treasuring them in the heart.
- Speaking and acting in accord with the wisdom that one has stored in one’s heart. He mentions 7 organs of the body: ear, eye, heart, mouth, lips, eyelids (i.e., “gaze”), feet. These are figures of speech (metonymy: “one word substituted for another one on the basis of a casual relation”). “We walk with our mouth,” i.e., what we say we walk out (or at least try to).
The “Heart” of the Matter
The “heart” represents man’s core of his/her being. Out of the mouth men/women speak UNgodliness and UNrighteousness. They can also speak UNselfish and UNworldly (i.e., divine) words that UPlift and UPhold.
Out of the Heart
When one looks up the word “heart” in Strong’s Concordance, one will count hundreds of texts where this word is used. There are several nuances in Hebrew and Greek. One of the most damning accounts against the false narrative that “humankind is basically good,” is found here: “From within people, from their HEARTS, come evil thoughts, UNchastity, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, licentiousness, envy, blasphemy, arrogance, folly. ALL these EVILS come from within and they defile” (Mark 7:21-23, NAB). Jesus made that revealing, damning statement.
Heart = Greek, kardia = “the heart, i.e., (fig), the thoughts or feelings (mind); also (by analogy), the middle.”
Heart = Greek, psuche = “spirit, life, mind, soul”
Heart = Greek, sklenokardia = “hardheartedness, destitution” (the opposite of good/pure heart)
The last one certainly describes America today: heardheartedness, destitute of truth! The Bible connects UNbelief with hardheartedness in Mark 16:14.
UNbelieving/UNstable
One thing you can trust: you can’t trust anything; one thing you can believe in: you can’t believe in anything, as far as the government (and the larger part of the Church) goes. The national SINS committed daily are UNutterable. Vicious and vile persons are like a pack of rabid feral dogs, snapping and biting with no restraint. They seem UNstoppable, UNswerving in their UNholy quest to rule with an iron fist (which is the Communist symbol).
What Is Coming?
The Spirit has just spoken to us, telling us that the world will not get better but WORSE. America, once a people-friendly nation, has become an UNfriendly, UNgovernable, UNgrateful, UNhallowed, UNhealthy, UNkind, UNlawful, UNmoral, UNpopular, UNquestionably wicked and homicidal nation. The Bible is abhorred; Christianity is now called a “domestic terrorist organization.”
Lonely and UNloved
It is no secret that America has found itself a lonely nation, an UNloved nation. We’ve become an UNobtrusive nation, not sold out for the Lord Jesus as we once were.
The “Cancel Culture” works to make the U.S. an UNperson Nation. That is, for political/ideological (Marxist) reasons, persons are canceled, “removed from recognition or consideration.” We, according to the Cancel Culture, are mere useful idiots, UNprofitable, UNqualified, UNsavory, UNscrupulous. That’s because we honor JESUS above all; we follow His standards, not the world’s. We fear Him, not men.
Good News
God is still in charge. He is releasing more diseases, viruses, destructions. Get ready, friends, the WORSE is yet to UNfold.
