“Will somebody push the RED NUKE button?” This has been discussed many times among many world leaders. Wicked men have wicked plans … and pushing that RED BUTTON could set off a horrible chain reaction of nukes flying in the air in many directions. Perhaps someone is crazy enough to do such a thing.
My wife and I have been engaged in many wars against the “Big 4” described in Ephesians 6, over the decades, in Africa, Asia, Central and South America, and other places. We are not volunteer soldiers in the world’s armies, or mercenaries like some soldiers, but MERCYnaries – fighting in the SPIRIT for Christ.
What we need, RIGHT NOW!, is a “NUCLEAR ANOINTING” in this global war for the souls of men and nations. We need more “freedom fighters” (1 Timothy 1:18, 6:12; 2 Timothy 2:3). The Church should be inspired to “be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” and to “stand against the wiles (machinations / schemings) of the devil … withstand in the evil day … keep on standing” (Ephesians 6:10-14. Just as a worldly military defends its ground and refuses to surrender, so ought the Church refuse to surrender to SIN and the DEVIL. But sadly, this is not the case in our day.
“Standing” encapsulates the traditional Christian belief that no matter the circumstance, we should always hold the attitude, “TO HELL WITH THE DEVIL AND HIS WILES!!” Why is it that so many are willing to STAND AGAINST totalitarian regimes in the natural world, yet refuse to do the same in the spiritual dimension? Why is the word “STAND” mentioned 3 times in Ephesians 6 (vv. 11,13,14)? “STAND” (Greek, histemi), the way Paul used it, means (lit. or fig.) “abide, contrive, hold up, stand by (for action?).” It does not mean “surrender” or “become passive”!
Maybe you haven’t noticed, but we have a nasty “cultural war” going on here in the U.S. The forces of HELL are trying to take our freedoms away, enslaving us to live under a Marxist-type regime headed up by the Democratic party. These forces are as brutal in the spirit as a carnal war is fleshly. May I remind you that millions upon millions have died and been imprisoned under Communism.
Research the nations that have been under Communist rule and see how they’ve fared. Marx, the founder of the antichrist/antichristian/anticapitalist ideology, required two things to achieve his goal, which was to create a universal body of humanity to be conformed completely to his insane draconian image:
- The total annihilation of all opposition, i.e., existing governments/religions
- The need for a New World Order, i.e., a “new kind of human being.”
“Then,” Marx wrote, “I shall stride through the wreckage a creator!”
Wreckage? Yes! Just what we are witnessing right before our very eyes here in good ol’ USA? The Democratic Party / Leftist Liberals are literally WRECKING this nation. What they want is a moraless society, a society of perverts, pukes, psychos, persons with a lack of restraint, “laissez aller” or “laisser aller” = “letting go” in French.
The fight is on! GET UP! STAND UP! Refuse to look on with usual indifference. Apathy kills as much as a sniper’s bullet! There is NO EXCUSE for ignoring our “cultural war”! For if not contested hotly, it will end in a national catastrophe.
The wide ideological divide in the U.S. has resulted in what we see today: “Liberalism” vs. “Constitutional Republic.” Both sides believe they have the greatest good for the greatest number of people. HO HUM! As I said earlier, we don’t need nuclear war, we Christians need a “NUCLEAR ANOINTING”!
As for me, I will continue to put my trust in God, His Word, and the miracle-working POWER of the Holy Spirit.
