We are living in a time when, as the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 1:24-27, “Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their (biological) bodies … who exchanged the TRUTH of God for a LIE … for this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful…”
It doesn’t take a Bible scholar to understand that Paul is writing about the sinfulness among both Jews and Gentiles. Romans 1 contains one of a half dozen “vice” lists (vv. 29 – 31). Other vice lists are found in 1 Corinthians 6, 1 Timothy 1, et al.
Self indulgence in sexual acts was one of the “vices” Paul dealt with. Homosexuality, aka, sodomy. was (and is!) a sin that needed addressing. Why does Paul make mention of same-sex sin (men with men, women with women) if it was not a problem?
[Note: Back to Leviticus 18, God made sure to include the “Holiness Code” – Laws of sexual morality. Verse 22 reads, “You shall not lie with a male (man) as with a woman. It is an abomination!” Leviticus 20:13 places a death penalty on such ones who engage in sodomy.]
The Living Bible makes Romans 1 plain: “So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. They traded the truth about God for a lie … God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. And the men, instead of having normal [natural] sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other…” Our addictions, compulsions, lusts can invite God’s displeasure upon us.
Apropos
To my point of this article. Historically, there have been times of heated debate (BATTLE!) over perversion. But that doesn’t change what God thinks.
Nations have already passed thru the dirty waters of same-sex unions, same-sex marriages, LGBTQ rights, etc. Some have gone so far as to debate transgenders in sports: “Is it okay for a trans (a biological male), claiming to be a woman/female, to participate in women’s sports?”
I remember when this trans thing came out openly in America. The issue then was about sex change, voice change. Afterwards, it evolved into a bizarre realm beyond even physical mutilation; it went into the idea that if a man just thinks he is a female, or a woman just thinks she is a male, they ARE whatever they think they are! This stuff is in the toilet as far as truth goes. (So, if I think I am a wealthy businessman, I am one? And my business and assets are … where?)
Here’s the real issue:
If a biological male believes he is a female, entitled to compete in women’s sports, and the biological females say that this is unfair and untruthful, the trans camp and supporters throw a fit. Some nations are protecting the LGBTQ folks by law, trying to keep them from any and all discrimination. I ask, “Why is this important?” It is being implied that rejection of the want-to-be-female could result in his suicide! So, in order for this not to happen, I suppose society must accept a LIE and say, “Yes, you, a biological male are a female” – changing the truth into national SIN!
If society does not recognize, say, Rob (male) or Robin (female), according to their imagined or altered “identity,” society is called homophobic/transphobic/hateful/unloving. So, my friends, what are we to do? Even if and when a biological male goes thru his sex change, voice change, whatever … this does NOT make him a female biologically. It is simply perversion.
Personally, if a man/boy wants to become (or think himself to be) a woman/girl, that is his right. What is dead wrongis for him or anyone else to force me to believe it and never deny it, thus forcing my conscience to be troubled. Furthermore, for any government to force us to accept all this politically correct immorality is a SIN.
I had better obey God rather than man (or woman). We had better keep God’s law, not a forced perversion upon us. This sexual abnormality will lead to societal decline, in any nation. God’s Word has set sexual boundaries to protect us, not to destroy us.
